In short
- No sign-up, no account, no login.
- Your income, bills, goals and payments are stored only on your device.
- No analytics, no advertising, no tracking across apps or websites.
- We never sell, rent or share your data, and we don't offer loans.
The website and browser demo
The website is delivered by Cloudflare Pages. Loading a page sends normal connection information, including your IP address and the requested URL, to the hosting provider. Android beta downloads are delivered by Expo. These services may retain operational or security logs under their own policies. Your ledger is not included in these requests.
We do not count APK download requests or add analytics scripts, advertising, tracking pixels or third-party font requests. The hosting providers' operational logs described above are separate from the app.
The feature-request and issue links open our public GitHub support repository. Posting requires a GitHub account and is covered by GitHub's policies. Do not include financial records, SMS messages, credentials or personal information in public issues. The installed app does not require a GitHub account.
The demo stores its budget in this browser's local storage and does not sync it to the mobile app. Use sample data on shared devices. Clearing site data, using private browsing or changing browsers can remove your entries. The website needs an internet connection to load; this is separate from the installed app's offline budgeting.
What Rozly stores, and where
When you use Rozly you type in information about your money. The app saves it in its private storage on your phone so it's there next time you open it.
| Information | Why | Sent to us? |
|---|---|---|
| First name (optional) | To greet you on the home screen | No |
| Monthly income and budget split | To work out what's safe to spend each day | No |
| Bills, category limits and savings goals | To set money aside before your daily number | No |
| Payments you add (amount, category, method, note, time) | To track spending against your plan | No |
| Rules like "always use Shopping for Amazon" | To categorise future payments for you | No |
Rozly does not access bank accounts, contacts, location or photos. Optional Android SMS access is requested only when you choose to scan bank messages. Opt-in background SMS capture ignores personal-number senders and OTPs. Optional notification access is granted separately in Android Settings; although Android grants broad access, Rozly processes only likely payment alerts from Google Pay, PhonePe and Paytm.
Likely financial alerts are held in private on-device storage (up to 1,000 pending entries) until processed when you return to Rozly. They are removed from the queue after the ledger is saved. Turning off a capture source removes its pending messages. No message text is uploaded. Imported amount, merchant, date and payment details remain in your local ledger until you erase them.
Optional voice entry uses Android's on-device English recognizer only, with microphone permission. If offline recognition or its language model is unavailable, the feature reports an error rather than using an online service. Rozly does not save audio. Weekly reminders are scheduled locally; no push token is requested.
Who can see it
Rozly has no server that receives your entries. Android app backup is disabled. iOS system backups may include app data and are governed by Apple's terms.
CSV export is initiated only by you. Rozly creates a local file and opens your device's share/save dialog. One private cached export per format is retained so the receiving app can read it; it is replaced by the next export or deleted by Erase all data. You choose where to save or share it. Importing a file into Google Sheets, Notion or another cloud app may upload it under that app's policies. Rozly never automatically syncs with those services, and cannot erase copies you shared.
Deleting your data
- In the app, go to Settings → Erase all data. This disables capture, clears pending alerts, cancels the local reminder and erases your ledger. If a step fails, Rozly reports it so you can retry.
- Revoke SMS, microphone and notification access separately in Android Settings. Exported copies must be deleted in their destination app.
- Deleting the app also deletes everything it stored.
Because nothing is stored with us, there is nothing for us to delete on our side.
Children
Rozly is meant for adults managing their own money and isn't directed at children under 18.
If this changes
Future versions may offer optional features such as linking bank accounts. If a feature ever needs to send data off your phone, it will be off by default, it will ask for your permission first, and this policy will be updated before that version is released. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
